For this week’s tutorial I’m making a fancy tag for a bottle of champagne.  Is anyone going out on New Year’s Eve?  This is a fun way to add a little flair to your hostess gift.

Supplies:  Cornish Heritage Farms The Lady’s Future stamp; Cornish Heritage Farms Simply Smooth Vanilla cardstock; American Crafts Gold Specialty Foil paper; Making Memories Black Shimmer alpha stickers; Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Copics; Perfect Pearls Dandelion from the Pastels pack; Ranger Glossy Accents; Martha Stewart Crafts Clear Coarse Glitter; Spellbinders Nestabilities Oval dies; 1 3/4” circle punch; bottle of champagne.

I have something very fancy planned for this lady tonight!  Start coloring with your Copics, then we’re going to paint her dress and clutch purse with Perfect Pearls.

Tap some of the pearls on a plate and add a few drops of water.  Use the paintbrush that comes with the pearls to do the painting and let it dry.  There is no trick to painting with the Pearls.  They’re very user friendly.

Here’s how she looks with some light shining on her.

Now cut out the image with an oval Nestie and then use one size smaller as a guide to draw a rim with a pencil.

lady4

Use a dark green marker to color your image frame.  I’m using dark green because my champagne bottle is also dark green.  It’s hard to see this in the photo.

lady5

Go over the green colored frame with Glossy Accents.

Shake on some Coarse Glitter and let dry.

Here is the finished image.

Trim the gold specialty paper to 3” x 7”, score and fold at 3”, then use the circle punch to make a hole in the 3” x 3” portion of the tag.  This is how the tag hangs from the bottle.

Add the Shimmer stickers to commemorate 2010.

Attach the image to the tag and hang it from the bottle.

Here is a close up with a little light shining on her.  So sparkly and festive!

I hope this little tag inspires you, and if you would like The Lady’s Future please leave a comment on this thread and we’ll do a random draw on Friday the 1st to give 1 away.

Happy stamping!

Laura
